Textbooks
How can I find what the compulsory or recommended texts are for a subject?
Prescribed texts are compulsory textbooks or readers, while recommended texts are non-compulsory.
Prescribed and recommended texts for each subject can be found via:
- The Learning Management System (LMS): subject guides are listed on your subject pages (if available).
- The Handbook: in each subject entry under 'Further information' and then 'Texts'. If there are no compulsory texts, the 'Prescribed Texts' field will state 'There are no specifically prescribed or recommended texts for this subject'. If there are no recommended texts the 'Recommended Texts' field will not appear.
