Paying international tuition fees
How do new International students pay their tuition fees?
When accepting your offer of admission to the University of Melbourne, you must pay a minimum deposit of AUD$10,000 towards your tuition fees. If you are applying for a student visa, you are also required to pay the compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) amount listed on your offer letter.
The $10,000 payment is credited towards your tuition fees as your first instalment. Once you have enrolled, an invoice for the balance of your tuition fees for the semester (or study period) will be available and you will be required to pay by the date specified on the invoice.
Your Statement of Liability or Student Invoice only shows what is due, not what has already been paid. For example, if you have already paid the $10,000 deposit as an international student, your Statement of Liability or Student Invoice will not display this payment and only show what you must still pay. To see your payment history and all enrolled and paid subjects, view your Fee Account Statement.
Note: when paying your initial deposit and OSHC amount, all payments are to be made in Australian dollars.
