Sick or injured on exam day

What do I do if I'm sick or injured on exam day?

If you’re too unwell to attend an exam, check if you are eligible to apply for Special consideration and follow the COVIDSafe guidelines.

Do not come to your exam if you:

  • Are unwell with any of the following symptoms, however mild: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss or change in sense of taste or smell – even if you have a negative rapid antigen test result, and/or
  • Have tested positive for COVID-19 – even if you don’t have any symptoms.

If the above applies to you, you need to:

  • Follow this guide about getting tested for COVID-19 and what to do if you or someone you know tests positive, including notifying the University
  • Apply for Special consideration, ensuring you follow the advice for students affected by COVID-19 provided on the Special consideration page.
