Student storage options

What file storage options are available to students? 

 

There are many suitable options for storage, including OneDrive, SharePoint, (for collaborative use) and Lecture Capture.  

My research work requires large data files, where can I store my data? 

For research usage, you can refer to https://gateway.research.unimelb.edu.au/resources/data-and-computation/research-data-management/research-data-storage-and-management-systems 

I have a lot of videos, where can I store them?  

For video storage, you can also log into Lecture Capture (see https://lecture.unimelb.edu.au). Upload directly from your Microsoft OneDrive (after log-in). Another option is to use Kaltura Video Management accessed from inside your LMS. See https://lms.unimelb.edu.au/learning-technologies/kaltura for information how to upload video).

Access to student email account after graduation

Before you graduate

To ensure you have continued access to your University information after graduation, remember to:

• Download your account data: If you wish to keep a record of your emails and files hosted on your University Microsoft account, you must download your Outlook and download your OneDrive data before your account is deactivated
• Link your personal email to your My eQuals account: Add your preferred personal email account to your My eQuals profile so you can continue to access your digital academic transcript, graduation certificate and other academic statements. Once your University email is deactivated, you cannot use this email address to log into My eQuals.
