When will I be eligible to graduate with my research degree?
You are considered eligible to pass once the Graduate Research Examinations office has received:
- A Completion of Degree Form from the Chair of Examiners stating that any corrections required by the examiners have been completed and that the degree may be awarded without further examination or correction.
- A citation (50-word summary of the candidate's research to be included in the Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement to be issued by the University. It will also be included on the graduation celebration website (PhD/Doctorate candidates only)).
- Confirmation that an electronic copy of the thesis has been submitted on the University of Melbourne Institutional Repository (Minerva Access).
Once these requirements have been fulfilled you will receive an email stating that you have successfully completed all the requirements for your degree. You will also receive information about your graduation options from the Graduations office.
