What is Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a type of health insurance to help international students and their dependants meet the costs of medical care while in Australia. If you are an international student traveling on a student visa, the Australian Government requires you to have OSHC for the duration of your visa.
Exceptions may apply for Belgian, Norwegian and Swedish students. Refer to the Australian Department of Health website for details of OSHC exemptions.
