Handbook Course Page

What information is available from each course page in the Handbook?

Each course offered at the University of Melbourne has its own individual entry in the Handbook. This FAQ is a guide on the information that can be found on a Handbook course page.

Key information

The section on the right-hand side of the page contains key information about the course:
  • Year & campus: The year is the commencement year for the information contained on the page. As course information may change each year (eg course structure) it is important to visit the course entry in the year that you commenced your course for your course information. See the Handbook How-To FAQ for information on viewing versions of the Handbook from different years.
  • CRICOS code: CRICOS stands for Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students. This code identifies the course within the register, which lists all education providers who offer courses to people studying in Australia on student visas.
  • Fees information: To see subject fees, access this link and use the filters according to what type of student you are.
  • Study level & type: whether the course is an undergraduate coursework, graduate coursework or graduate research course.
  • Credit points and Duration: the credit weighting and length of the course. See the Points and Courses FAQ and Study load page for more information.

Course coordinators and other contact information

The contact details for the course coordinator and any other contact points can be found in the left-hand panel of the page.
