Elective Subjects
What is an elective / optional subject?
An elective subject (also referred to as an 'optional subject') is not compulsory (unlike core subjects). You have a choice as to which elective subjects you can study.
If your course requires you to choose electives, a list of options will be available in your study plan via my.unimelb.
Please note: Not all elective/optional subjects are offered in a given study period.
Check your course structure in the University Handbook for more detailed information about elective subjects, including availability and requisites.
