Early Exit Awards

What is an Early Exit award?

Students admitted to a graduate degree who are unable or who choose not to continue with their studies may decide to exit the course with the award for a lesser qualification, such as a Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate. Not all graduate degrees have an approved exit award and students should check the Handbook entry for their course to confirm if they are eligible.

How do I know if I am eligible for an exit award?

If you have completed at least 50 points you may be eligible for a Graduate Certificate award. If you have completed at least 100 points you may be eligible for a Graduate Diploma award. The course rules of the proposed exit award normally need to be satisfied by the subjects completed in the Masters degree in order to exit with the lesser award.

How do I request an exit award?
