What tea/coffee/common room facilities are available for Research Students?
Many of the Faculties/Schools that support Research Students provide common room facilities. Please find a list below; if your school or faculty is not listed, you may wish to your supervisor.
Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS)
No common rooms are available for MDHS Research Students.
Faculty of Science

| Botany |
A common room providing tea and coffee facilities is located opposite the Botany main entrance from System Garden. |
| Chemistry | The School of Chemistry provides a room for postgraduate coursework students, research students and staff in the School to have lunch, morning and afternoon tea, meet other staff and students, etc. The common room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
| Genetics | Tea and coffee, a toaster, sandwich maker and two microwaves are available in the Department's staff kitchen. The common room is open 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and outside office hours with swipe card access to the building. |
| Optometry and Vision Science | Tea and coffee and full kitchen facilities area available in the Department's staff room. |
| Zoology | The Department of Zoology provides common room facilities including a kitchen with tea & coffee provided. The common room is open 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and outside office hours with swipe card access to the building. |
