LMS External User Issues

I am an external user and have received an email with my username and activation key but am unable to log in to the LMS. Why?

If you have been enrolled as an external user in the LMS, you should have received an email instructing you to activate your account by clicking on the URL provided. The email will also include your username (username should have a prefix “ex.”) and an activation key. You will not be able to log in to the LMS until you have activated your account.

To log in:

  1. Type in your username. Your username will have a prefix of “ex.” (for example "ex.smithj").
  2. Type in your password. Your password should be 8 characters and must contain at least one letter (a-z) and one number (0-9). If you have forgotten your password or can’t log in, you may need to reset your password.

If after following the steps above you are still unable to access the LMS, please submit a helpdesk request.
