A formatted reference list can be added to your document without using EndNote to insert citations.

  • Open a Word Document and an EndNote library.
  • In EndNote set the style required for the list in the style window
  • From EndNote, select references for your list using the mouse and holding down the Ctrl key while multiple references are selected. The entire library can also be copied by using the Edit > Select All option.
  • Click on Edit > Copy Formatted.
  • In Word select the place in the document where the references should be inserted.
  • Click on the Paste icon. All items in your list will be presented following the rules of the style selected.
