If you have requested or received a refund for your previous ISTP, you are required to follow the processes below, using a newly issued code and a new ISTP account for PTV (using a different email address than that of your previous account linked with the previous pass) and click on the ‘order’ tab to order your new pass. Renewing the old card with a new code will not be processed by PTV as the card has been deactivated.

    To obtain your ISTP code:

    1. If you are a new student, obtain your student card first before applying for a transport concession.
    2. Visit the ISTP code distribution portal and request a code. A unique code will be sent to your student email account.
    3. Retrieve the email containing your ISTP code.
    4. Go to the PTV ISTP website and follow the instructions to purchase your pass. You will need to enter your ISTP code, upload a current photo, choose the duration of the pass, nominate a postal address and provide payment details.
      Important notes:
      1. When completing your payment, do not navigate away from the payment processing screen.
      2. Use one email address when registering with PTV so that you do not create multiple accounts. Your unique ISTP code will be inextricably linked to that email address and cannot be changed.
      3. Use a postal address that will remain current for at least one month, as your card may take several weeks to arrive.
    5. Once payment has been completed and processed, your pass will be posted out to your address.
